Applebot-Extended is a control token, not a separate crawler. Apple's base crawler, Applebot, powers Siri and Spotlight Suggestions; Applebot-Extended specifically governs whether Applebot-collected content may be used to train Apple's generative models.
Disallowing Applebot-Extended keeps you available to Siri and Spotlight while opting out of generative-AI training — the same split pattern as Google-Extended.
